Midjourney can make beautiful portraits very easily.
That is not the hard part anymore.The hard part is control.

A portrait starts to break when I ask for too many things at once:

cinematic, fashion, surreal, retro, glossy, dramatic, high detail, strong styling, complex background, perfect skin, emotional expression.

The result can still look impressive. But it often loses direction.

A better portrait prompt makes fewer decisions, but clearer ones:
one mood, one light direction, one styling idea, one background pressure.
That usually gives me a stronger image than adding more adjectives.
